Chincoteague Island Weddings

Chincoteague Island Weddings

It was raining and it was cold, so we had to implement the “rain plan”, but everyone helped by cooperating and adjusting as we moved the ceremony to shelter. Spirits were very high and you could feel the love as Jennifer & Drake celebrated their nuptials at a private home in Chincoteague Island. It was BEAUTIFUL!

Surprise Best Man Speech

When you’re in the military, deployment can often interfere with wedding plans.  Drake, our groom knew this could happen.  But what he wasn’t expecting was emergency surgery causing a problem.  But as they say….if you want to make God laugh….make plans.  So…several months before the wedding, Drake learned his best man needed surgery and would not be able to attend the wedding.  So he figured that he just wouldn’t get to hear a Best Man Speech.

He was wrong!

I suggested to his wife Jenn, that she surprise her husband with a video recorded in advance.
We kept it a secret for months.

By the time the video finished playing for all their guests…you could hear a pin drop.

It was perfect!

 Dancing & Craziness!

Jennifer and Drake rented a private home, which meant the party went very late into the evening…and into the morning!

One of the BEST moments of the evening was when two gentlemen decided to implement an impromptu game of invisible “Double Dutch” jump rope.  Guests were “jumping in” and showing off their dance moves while avoiding the invisible ropes.  And then…..after a moment of “brainstorming”, my assistant and I agreed on the following tune…..wait for it…..

I started playing….“Double Dutch” by Frankie Smith!!!

Beautiful Moment!

Congratulations to Jennifer & Drake!

Too many pictures under the influence to be shared publicly….but enjoy this glimpse.

(Kudos to my wedding day assistant and former bride, Liz, who wanted to explore the possibility of being a wedding planner.  She worked extra hard to make the day successful! I couldn’t have done it without her.  Her reaction the following day…..#respect!  )

Zena & Anthony get married at Langley Chapel and Celebrate at Bayview Commonwealth Center in Virginia Beach

…their Love Story, as told by Master of Ceremonies, Liz Daley.

How does a boy who calls California home meet a girl a Jersey Girl who grew up in New York City?  Match.com.  Their first date was so amazing, you could only understand its magnitude if you were there.  It was surreal. Like they were friends forever. Their first kiss was during their regular Sunday routine of Church then I-HOP.

And when Anthony proposed …it was with Zena’s grandmother, Rosina’s ring at a beautiful Bed and Breakfast in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Afterwards, they did what every engaged couple does….they had ICE CREAM.

With God at the center of their relationship, they are beginning their life together.
