  • Select Readings/Songs for Ceremony; ask people to do the honor

  • Send out Invitations

  • Meet with Hairstylist and Make-Up Artist to try out wedding day look

  • Send Hotel, transportation and area attraction info to out of town guests
  • Attend Bridal Shower
  • Make Arrangements for the Wedding Rehearsal
  • Decide on the guest list for Rehearsal and Dinner
  • Decide if you are having a receiving line; if so, decide who will participate and the order
  • Give Musicians and Vocalists a copy of the music selections (ceremony & reception)
  • Give Bandleader/DJ your list of requests
  • Attend final Dress fitting
  • Final formal wear fitting
  • Finalize transportation to get wedding party and out of town guests to reception
  • Pick up wedding rings, check sizes, have rings insured
  • Write shower thank you notes
  • Make sure all accessories have been purchased/rented: ring pillow, toasting glasses, etc.
  • Put together out of town welcome bags
  • Confirm groomsmen have been fitted
  • Schedule bridal portrait with photographer
  • Pick up wedding attire and make sure it fits
  • Confirm men’s formal wear order
  • Track gifts and send thank you notes for gifts already received.
  • Review attendant duties with the wedding party
  • Send invitations or call invitees for Rehearsal and Dinner
  • Create a detailed itinerary/schedule of wedding day activities and share
  • Complete reception seating arrangements
  • Create/Order Wedding Programs
  • Compose Toasts for Rehearsal Dinner
  • Call Key Guests who have not yet responded
  • Set “shot list” to photographer and videographer
  • Prepare/address printed wedding announcements to be sent on wedding day
  • Confirm directions for pick up and drop off points with limo service/transportation
  • Give Caterer final head count for reception
  • Re-Confirm wedding details with all vendors; send each a customized itinerary/schedule
  • Break in and scuff shoe bottoms
  • Groom/Male Participants – schedule haircuts
  • Confirm beauty/hair appointments
  • Confirm lodging/room blocks for out-of-town guests
  • Confirm wedding night reservations for engaged couple
  • Obtain Marriage License
  • Give Final Head count and confirm details with Rehearsal Dinner Location
  • Confirm bridesmaids have dresses and Accessories
  • Complete Pew Cards (if using them)
  • Organize Final Payments for service providers who need to be paid in advance or on wedding day. Prepare checks.
  • Finalize seating plan, write place cards or give to calligrapher (or print)
  • Go over seating arrangements with the caterer and/or site manager
  • Arrange/Confirm time for Photographer and Attendants to arrive for pictures
  • Steam Wedding dress; ensure for proper fit
  • Remind the wedding party about Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner
  • Attend Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties
  • Host Bridesmaid Luncheon
  • Get Currency/hard cash from bank for gratuities, put tips in labeled and sealed envelopes
  • Confirm that groomsmen pick up their formal wear
  • Engaged Couple – Pick up and try on Formal Wear
  • Review duties of volunteers/helpers
  • Pay “day-of” supplies/on-site event management kit; box together and label as to where they should be delivered
  • Delegate last minute errands and Details
  • Pack your wedding night and Honeymoon suitcases
  • Present gifts to attendants at the Rehearsal Dinner ( if you haven’t already done so at the luncheon or Bachelor Parties)
  • Hold Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner
  • Drop off welcome bags for out of town guests
  • Get Manicure and Pedicure
  • Go Over Tasks/Duties for wedding party for next day – give attendants anything they need to execute said duties.
  • Engaged couple exchanges gifts with each other
  • Send/Mail Wedding Announcements
